No, not really - she's willig to humour me for some photos. The clamp is just snug, and the clothes peg spring has been stretched: open the peg wide and slip it ove a book or something to hold it stretched and check it in a day or so by putting it on your ear lobe. If it's tight enough to hang from your ear but doesn't hurt, you've got it right.
