Alice met T and A, the couple of biophysicists, when she was attending an interdisciplinary arts and sciences meeting. Fascinated by the way their interests intersected with those of Alice, T and A invited her to join them for dinner in a nearby restaurant. Not being a painter, Alice suggested that she and T collaborate on a poem – a visual poem – for A. It was that point that T and A invited Alice back to the room that they had been sharing.
